city laws for composting?

I myself live in Canada. We have bi laws and laws. Bi laws are from the city and these are the ones that include include things like how high your fence is, id you can have a fire pit and includes composting. To me it makes sense that it would also be a city law for you as well. I would call, some cities will actually give you a rebat or discount if you buy their model or type of composter. Last summer the city I live in were selling big ones for 20 dollars ( 10 dollars american) if you ordered through the city. Hope this helps. Congrats on purchasing your first home! I seriously doubt there are any laws prohibiting small scale composting for personal use. As long as you aren’t composting bodies, it should all be fine.

Check with your municipality, though. That’s where this question can be truthfully answered.

No state laws I know of but there may be some city ordnance’s.
If the compost pile is not very large I’ll bet you will have no problems. In fact the city should encourage it to cut down on refuse.

I live in Ohion, and there are no laws regarding compost. Just make sure not to put protein in. Your neighbors will have the right to report you. Protein stinks, and draws all kinds of bugs and rodents.
